Wholeness and Quitting

Updated: Apr 3, 2020

Wholeness- the state of forming a complete and harmonious whole; unity or the state of being unbroken or undamaged. Healing -the process of making or becoming sound or healthy again

You are probably wondering why is she defining this for me? Because many of us are on a healing journey or journey towards Wholeness with no direction and many of us do not stop to define what it is and how we would know when we arrive... If wholeness is the state of being undamaged and unbroken then it is fair to say that wholeness means the ability to not be phased by external voices and or internal voice that hinders us from being full, complete and joyful right?

I have been on this journey for some time now. And it is my hope to share with you the community what human wholeness is all about. The good, the bad and the ugly. Let's get started!

If you are reading this it means, I pushed past my internal voices and actually published this blog. You know, the voices that say who do you think you are? No one cares what you have to say, there are so many people blogging do we need another blog ugh yes these voices. I don't know if you can relate but, I most certainly have them even as a life coach, therapist in training, author, conference leader, mom, friend and community leader. I have them. You are not alone. The truth is we all have them. It is what we chose to believe about it that matters most. I personally have been on my healing journey for over 6 years. Yup, you read that right, six years of unlearning toxic behaviors, beliefs, generational cycles, emotions, cultural practices and traditional practices that were hindering my health space and wellness. Six years of reaffirming myself, six years of re-learning to love and six-years of aligning with my greater self. etc. With all of the information I have collected; through workshops, retreats, Sunday services, individual coaching counseling sessions, seminars, conferences, I realized something, there was a huge difference between healing and wholeness. It is like the difference between wanting to lose weight and actually losing weight. Just like that, something snapped in me and I shifted from focusing solely on healing to walking in wholeness.

I have been on this Wholeness journey for four years. I have hosted three conferences called, A Whole You... My real progress began when I refocused my journey from healing to being Whole. Instead of just unlearning, I started relearning new things that worked for me. I started not just thinking about things and daydreaming about a different life or shift, but actually doing them and putting things into action. My life changed, my relationships with those around me aligned and I manifested more than deserved. I no longer accepted mediocre and surface friendship. I stopped working in places that served me nothing but a freaking paycheck. I blocked all those I love you and desire you but will not commit to you, relationships. My on and off toxic relationship with my mother improved and if God did nothing more for that alone I am grateful and sooooo much more.

I can not keep WHOLENESS to myself. If you are reading this, I want you to do an honest inventory; you know, like asking yourself how many more coaches do you need to hire before you realize that what you are searching for is already within you. Or how many more self-help books and workshops will you got to before you actually implement those 4 pages of notes you have in your journal? Ask yourself if you are tired of collecting things and not actually using them yea I was their information overload and still not healed. Let that go, sis. Take small steps on working on what you actually want to be and become. It is my desire to share with you weekly or monthly the very steps I and my tribe took to go from wanting to be healed to being WHOLE. Stay tuned and let us know what you would like to read more about below.
